Keeping Surfaces Safe This Winter

21st December 2021

Clearing icy surfaces is essential to keep staff, customers and yourself safe as well as ensuring access ways are visible. However, clearing areas can be time consuming and expensive if the correct product is not chosen.

Ice Ban is an environmentally friendly, non-corrosive, non-toxic solution to slippery ice on a range of surfaces and the 20ltr container makes it good value for money too. It is particularly effective on paths, walkways, driveways, playgrounds, retail parks and artificial sports pitches.

There is no need to dilute IceBan Liquid Salt, which makes it easy to use, and as a liquid, it starts working straight away. It de-ices surfaces rapidly with light frosts being cleared in a matter of seconds and harder frosts in just a few minutes.

IceBan is Urea based so it is very safe and effective on 3G and 4G sports pitches as well as temporary, artificial winter tees, driving range mats, steps and areas close to turf. And, because of its non-toxic ingredients you don’t need to worry about the liquid transferring onto other areas, corroding equipment or PPE.

IceBan works with both ice and snow covered surfaces, although for the best results, remove the bulk of snow cover before application.

IceBan used as an anti-icing product:

Frost: 20ml/sq.m

Snow: 40ml/sq.m

Freezing Rain: 60ml/sq,m

IceBan used as an de-icing product:

Slight Frost: 25ml/sq.m

Black-Ice: 80ml/sq.m

Sheet Ice: 100ml/sq.m

For operator safety, gloves should be worn when applying and eye protection worn in case of splashes.
