Continue mowing and slowly reduce the height of cut but remember not to remove more than a third at a time. It is always better to cut dry grass if possible. Clear any worm casts by brushing away, or if a large problem apply Prestige Super Soil Acidifier

Apply Prestige Lawnsand No.1 at 70g/m². This Nitrogen and Iron fertiliser helps to control moss and acts as a spring start up tonic fertiliser. Apply on a dry day, with at least 24 - 48 hours of dry weather forecast. Irrigate after application. 

7 - 14 days after the above scarify the lawn in 2 - 3 directions and remove debris

Aerate the lawn with a solid tine aerating machine or a garden fork.

Apply Prestige 12:0:9 Fine Turf Traditional (granule) at 35g/m². A spring / summer fertiliser with Nitrogen and Potash. This fertiliser will feed for approx. 6 weeks. Irrigate after application.

Alternatively, for a more organic moss control product, apply Mo Bacter at 100 g/m². Mo Bacter is a feeds your lawn whilst also destroying the moss that's present in the grass. This also stops the moss from reforming

If you have weeds and/moss present, consider an application of ICL Landscaper Pro Triple Action 14:0:5 at 35g/m². Triple Action is an all-in-one granular feed, weed and moss killer. The product maintains growth and contains a selective herbicide for weed control plus iron for moss control.

Apply Green Velvet All Rounder Grass Seed at 25g/m² to lawn to help get good grass coverage. All Rounder is a great multi-purpose grass seed for the everyday lawn, suitable for most gardens and lawns, where a nice consistent grass seed is required.

If a more specialised grass seed is required, consider:

• Action Hero – for lawns with heavy traffic and play areas

• Shady One – for shadier areas

• Perfectionist – for a more ornamental lawn

Continue mowing regularly but if hot and dry, raise the height of cut to reduce drought stress.

If the weather is particularly dry use Prestige Super Wetting Agent 1 ltr, tank mixed with Prestige Seaweed 1 ltr. After application, irrigate/apply water. For best results, apply water regularly particularly when hot and/or dry.

Apply Weedol Lawn Weed Killer (for domestic use) selective Weed Killer if needed (Always read the label - use pesticides safely.)

Must not be applied within 8 weeks of seeding as will kill young grass

Do not spray with 1 metre of your pond / stream as this product is toxic to aquatic organisms

Apply Prestige 14:2:6 Fine Turf Longevity, slow release fertiliser at 35g/m². This Nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertiliser is slow release and will feed for approx. 8 weeks. Irrigate after application.

Ideally lightly scarify and overseed and weak or bare areas.

If the weather is particularly dry use Prestige Super Wetting Agent 1 ltr, tank mixed with Prestige Seaweed 1 ltr. After application, irrigate/apply water.

Apply Prestige 6:6:12 Fine Turf All Season Autumn fertiliser @ 35g/m² An excellent autumn winter fertiliser. This product can be applied every 6 - 8 weeks during the winter if required and subject to weather conditions allowing. Irrigate after application.

Apply Weedol Lawn Weed Killer (for domestic use) selective Weed Killer if needed (Always read the label - use pesticides safely.)

Worm casts may start to be a problem again, if so apply Prestige Super Soil Acidifier

Rake up leaves from the lawn and compost them. If dry and warm, mow the lawn ensuring not to remove more than 1/3 of growth at a time.

Aerate the lawn monthly if weather allows. Keep off your lawn if waterlogged or frosty.
