By assessing above-ground biomass production, the researchers were able to find that Prestige Super Bio-Nutrition could significantly improve plant development in both optimal and stressful conditions. Strips of turf 2 metres in length were measured out on a links course golf green, before applying both Prestige Super Bio-Nutrition and an industry standard bio-nutrition product. The trial was designed to allow a hand-mower to be passed over each strip at the end of a 2 month late-spring/early-summer period. The clippings taken off by the mower could then be dried and weighed, giving an accurate estimate of biomass production and sward density, both of which are crucial for stress tolerance and recovery. The results of the trial showed that Prestige Super Bio-Nutrition significantly increased clipping yield in a mixed sward, indicating a denser and healthier turf surface. The formulation has been extensively tested in both field and laboratory trials to produce a reliable and effective product.
