Collier Turf Care 2023/24 Product Guide

26 COLLIER SPORTS © ‘ Gras Guy ’ Use the following formula to convert to kg per hectare: Application rate (in g/m2) x % nutrient content of fertiliser applied ÷ 10 Example: For an application of 12:0:9 fertiliser at 35g per sq.m 35 X 12 ÷ 10 = 42 kg/ha. N 35 X 9 ÷ 10 = 31.5 kg/ha. K2O Granular Fertiliser In order to calculate the nutrient inputs from liquid fertilisers you need to use the Specific Gravity (kg/litre) of the specific product being used. Use the following formula to calculate nutrient input: (Ltr/ha.) x Specific Gravity (SG) x (% Nutrient/100) = kg nutrient/ha. Example: For an application of 15:0:12 @ 40 Ltr/ha. (SG = 1.25kg/Ltr) convert application rate from Ltr/ha. to kg/ha. (40Ltr/ha. X 1.25 = 50kg/ha.) Multiply product rate (kg/ha.) by % N content (ie. 50 X 15% = 7.5kg/ha.) Multiply product rate (kg/ha.) by % K content (ie. 50 X 12% = 6.0kg/ha.) In order to calculate the nutrient inputs from soluble fertilisers you need to use the following formula: Application rate (kg per hectare) x % nutrient divided by 100 Example: For an application of 35:0:14 soluble fertiliser applied at 30kg/ha. 30 x 35 ÷ 100 = 10.5 kg/ha. N 30 x 14 ÷ 100 = 4.2 kg/ha. K See our extensive range of spreaders and sprayers on pages 72 - 75 Liquid Fertiliser (Weight/Weight) Solubles How to work out Nutrient inputs
